KNOXVILLE— The Vols can host up to seven official visitors this weekend, though just three are officially scheduled as of noon Friday. While all three visitors are committed elsewhere, Tennessee has a decent chance at landing each of them. Four-star linebacker E.J. Levenberry, a Florida State commitment, has been interested in the Vols for years and attended the LSU-Tennessee game in 2011 on an unofficial visit. His interest waned when Sal Sunseri was hired last year, but Sunseri is now at Florida State which has prompted Levenberry to consider the Vols once again. He was scheduled to visit Knoxville last weekend, but icy roads and an illness kept him away. The fact that he rescheduled for this weekend (combined with his established interest in Tennessee) suggests the Vols are in excellent position to flip him from FSU with an impressive visit.

Another previously scheduled visitor, 4-star wide receiver Tyler Boyd, is planning to travel to Knoxville. He is a Pittsburgh commitment but visited West Virginia last weekend. The thought of playing for a well-known SEC program like Tennessee is attractive to Boyd, and if he makes it to campus, an impressive visit will give the Vols a shot at flipping him. Rounding out the official visitor list is 3-star defensive end Malik Brown, a Syracuse commitment. He was offered by Tennessee last week and a visit from the Vol staff Sunday evening apparently convinced him to give UT a closer look. Tennessee has momentum with Brown and can offer him early playing time at one of the premiere programs in college football. Of the three visitors, Brown is the most likely to commit to the Vols and we’d even consider Tennessee the team to beat for his services.

Currently, the 2013 Vol class ranks 26th per 247 Sports, 29th according to ESPN, and 32nd per Rivals. We remain strongly convinced this class will finish inside the top 20 when the dust settles.
