Tennessee alternate jerseys unveiled.

KNOXVILLE—It’s been one of the worst keep secrets in Knoxville for a few months: the Vols will wear a new “alternate” jersey during at least one game this season. The Tennessee alternate jerseys were officially unveiled by Adidas this morning and a quick look at social media reveals a mixed reaction from Vol fans nationwide . Regardless of what fans think, this move had more to do with recruiting than firing up an already energized fanbase.

“If you had to put a top-10 list that the prospective student-athletes ask you, in the top three would be uniforms,” Butch Jones said.

Look for the Vols to break the new “Smokey” uniforms out during an SEC home game this year.
