247Sports Composite claims to offer an “unbiased” formula combining the rankings of each of the major recruiting services, but their composite rankings don’t match an even average of the major services.

So what’s a fair way to evaluate recruiting classes? The premise here is simple—average the team rankings of Rivals, Scout, 247Sports, and ESPN to get a true handle on where each 2014 recruiting class stands. Here’s how things look as of 8 pm on National Signing Day.  Average rankings are in (_). *Ties broken by giving team with higher average star rating the advantage.
